If the file is already there and all they have to do is merge the .srt with the .mov file, then it's really pathetic to not do it, either at the Apple level or the studio level.JRhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02485752215710916988noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6768414684556307084.post-55570704281598081202008-11-11T19:54:00.000-08:002008-11-11T19:54:00.000-08:00Interesting to know.Interesting to know.Ophirahttp://alexandriainsurance.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6768414684556307084.post-51274359924160455152008-10-26T12:12:00.000-07:002008-10-26T12:12:00.000-07:00Dawn,You need to realize that Apple doesn't have a...Dawn,

You need to realize that Apple doesn't have any control on which movie or show has caption and which does not. Apple made the technology available for studios to add captions and it is entirely up to the studios to do this NOT Apple. The Apple TV does support Closed Captioning. So your regret towards Apple products is based on the wrong assumptions.

LanceLance Picketthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09441569688925239329noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6768414684556307084.post-18870856846046786572008-10-23T10:52:00.000-07:002008-10-23T10:52:00.000-07:00the scant selection of captioned movies is insulti...the scant selection of captioned movies is insulting to my deaf family and makes me strongly regret our purchases of three macbooks and 2 iphone 3g's- the exclusion by apple is disturbing!!Dawnhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11699983607287399141noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6768414684556307084.post-80769873965924810502008-08-11T20:59:00.000-07:002008-08-11T20:59:00.000-07:00Bill,Sorry it took me a while to respond. I agree ...Bill,

Sorry it took me a while to respond. I agree with you, I don't like the Closed Caption moving all over the screen, especially when they are covering the faces or action. However, I do understand that it is necessary to move captions to the top when there are credits appearing on the screen sometimes thats okay.

LanceD.
